Jell-o Birthday Cake?
For my birthday party I wanted something different so I was looking at Jell-o cakes. Theres not many pictures on the internet so I was wondering if anybody had any ideas?
My party is going to be in August, with a hot tub, fire pit, and barbecue. It’s like a backyard party. My invitations are message in bottles so i’m going with the beach/pool party theme. I’m then having a sleepover to follow. 
Any pictures or ideas of a Jell-o cake for that would help.
Your idea was so cute, I had to go out on the net and find you a Jello cake (i.e., the message in a bottle invite – very cleaver!). Okay, so tell your mom that we used to call them Jello Poke Cakes. And what they are is a baked cake, then poke holes in the top of the cake with a fork and then pour Jello over the top and it will seep down into the holes. Now, if you are talking about an entire cake out of Jello, then tell your mom just to make Jello and pour into cake pans and once it’s firm, then put the Jello cake on place and put another layer of Jello cake on it and you can put like Cool Whip in between layers.
