Barbecue Supplies
I need a great simple shrimp recipe. Got one?
This morning I was lucky enough to get some lovely fresh wild-caught (!) shrimp, raw, medium-sized, unpeeled (but I know how to do it), just enough for me and my little boy, but I don’t have a plan for what to make with them. I won’t be able to shop this afternoon, but I do have the standard pantry supplies–garlic, olive oil, dried herbs, red pepper flakes and the usual spices. I’ve also got one lemon and about half a supermarket-sized bunch of dill. Who’s feeling inspired and would be willing to share an idea?
I’m after a recipe that you have personally used and that you (and your friends and family) really like, or at least something from your imagination that sounds like it would be wonderful–so thanks anyway, but please don’t send me a link.
I should mention that I do NOT grill or barbecue, Though I’m a decent cook otherwise, everything I’ve tried to grill or barbecue I’ve incinerated, so the poor shrimp wouldn’t stand a chance.

The more simple the better. Don’t over do shrimp, because they have such a wonderfully natural sweet taste. You want to complement it, not cover it up.
Steam in white wine or beer with some fresh garlic.
Pan fry in some olive oil with some garlic. Take some of that fresh dill and add some sour cream as a mild dipping sauce for your little one.
