what is the best way to char a steak on a barbeque grill?
i am interested in knowing how to cook a steak …cannot char outsides…bareque and gas grills are they difrent
You want to cook a steak quickly over a hot grill. Personally I prefer charcoal to gas, but I know a lot of people who turn out great steaks using a gas grill. I think that to do so you need a high quality gas grill rather than some cheapo crap. But I still prefer the taste of a steak on a charcoal grill, and find cooking MUCH easier.
Cooking time will depend on the thickness of the steaks you are cooking and the desired doneness. Don’t let anyone tell you that there is one set amount of time for all steaks for any given doneness level. There are plenty of guidelines available on line and in books for the amount of cooking time per side.
Again though, the key to it all is quick cooking over a HOT grill. You do NOT slow cook a steak!
