What do I get my dad for Fathers Day?! Please help for 10 points?
I still don’t know what to get my dad for Father’s Day! I want to get him something from like REI, because were going to Yosemite soon, but were staying in the Yosemite Lodge so it’s not really camping. I always get him something for his well-loved barbeque, but this year I wanted to get him something different.
Also, I’ve also checked out places like www.gifts.com with no luck. Thank you for any suggestions!
Something practical is always nice, much better than something that has to get biffed out later when no one is looking. Mix it up with something very personal, preferably something you made or dressed up yourself. My 5 & 7 year old girls got me:
•Nice Causal Leather Belt
•Socks
•Chocolate
•They decorated up wooden box with a hinged lid, with my 1st initial on it. Available at most craft shops.
Another option is think about their past and what they used to be in to and bring back some memories for them. Could have been something they lost many years ago. Maybe a piece of sports equipment from their favorite sport. Even a sports shirt of jersey for them to wear at the game or while watching on TV.
A friend of mine got his elderly father a World War 2 rifle (same as he used in the war) and had it put in a case to mount on the wall. Now that was personal, lots of effort, and meant something. Doesn’t of course have to be a rifle, could be any sort of memorabilia.
