Has anyone ever had an event catered by Sonny’s BBQ?
Hello! I’m just wondering if anyone has ever had an event catered by Sonny’s BBQ. Call me whatever names you like, but I’m thinking of having Sonny’s catering at my wedding… it’s delicious, and I’m sure it’s cheaper than a lot of other catering services!
Obviously I know that some individual restaurants will vary in the service they provide, but just in general, how was your experience?
Did you have to pay gratuity (20%, or what)?
Did a server stay the entire time to set up, serve, and clean up?
What sort of food was there?
How much did it cost per person?
I know that’s a lot of questions, but just answer as many as possible. I’m going to call the restaurant later in the week, but I was just curious as to anyone’s personal experiences.

Sonny’s is awesome! It’s definitely not high class or anything, but they have great food and are reasonably priced. My grandparents had a dinner catered for the old folks Sunday School class at their church. They went to Sonny’s & picked everything up (food for 40 people). They didn’t have it catered though. They did that themselves because Sonny’s employees wouldn’t dress up. Maybe yours will. The leftovers were really good, too! They had pulled pork, Texas toast, beans (mmm!!!), cole slaw, the gave them several bottles of BBQ sauce (diff flavors), grilled chicken, and maybe one other side.
Oh, and yes, the 20% is fine.
