Should I have dancing at my small wedding/reception?
This is the deal, I am planning a casual wedding for 40-50 people (mostly family). One of my possible locations has a sound system included and one does not. However, the one with the sound system is smaller and there may not be enough room for dancing. I am not much on dancing in front of people and neither is my fiance or our family. On top of not wanting to spend the money for a DJ/renting sound equipment, I am afraid hardly anyone would dance anyways and will mostly be mingling instead. We are having the ceremony and reception in the same location with alcohol and BBQ catered. I have a MP3 player/CD player available for background music. Should I skip the dancing?
If you and your fiance aren’t into it, and no one else is either, then skip it. It’s just an extra expense that you don’t need.
The background music is a nice idea. People can mingle and talk and enjoy the celebration of the two of you being married!!
