is it safe to use the rusty grill?
Our grill got rusted due to the rain. The bottom part where the charcoals are suppose to go got the worst of it. Is it safe to use? it’s just goign to be covered by the charcoals…We want to have a bbq later tonight…
sure, that is fine. if the cooking grill part is rusted, just let the flames clean it then take it off and give it a washing and dry it before putting it back in the grill.
I have used this method for refurbishing lots of rusty or burned cast iron I have bought at garage sales and auctions. It works just great.
Until the bottom of your grill rusts out and all the charcoal falls out on the ground it is safe to use. Just don’t use it on a wooden deck or something or you could start a fire on the deck which is nasty because the fire department will then make fun of you all over town.
