Bbq Island Doors
electrical in bbq island?
i am adding a non outdoor rated electrical box inside my bbq island. does the box need to be outdoor rated even though it is inclosed in the bbq island?
i am also adding a non outdoor rated electrical box outlet on the front face of the bbq island with an outdoor rated cover to protect from the weather. do i need to use out door rated junction box for both these apps.
will this be fine in order to pull a permit? will the city inspector be o.k. with this, is there some law that states that if an electrical box is inclosed or has a outdoor rated cover it will pass for outdoor use?
as long as water can not get to it you should be fine
