Bbq Pork Roast
I need a recipe for slow-cooked pork roast using a slow cooker/crock pot?
hi,
looking for a recipe that i can make with the 2 lb pork roast on hand. boneless.
i want to cook it in the crock pot this am.
on hand i have potatoes, carrots, onions, tomatoes
i also have plenty of bbq sauce
also almost every kind of seasoning, spice or herb is on hand
i also have a jerk rub.
need a nice reliable recipe
layer of potatoes,carrots and onions on the bottom, set the roast, fat side up on top of the veg. more onion, salt and pepper and garlic and 4-5 bay leaves. pour 1 can of beer or apple juice on. cook all day without peeking.
I agree with who ever said that crock pot cooking isn’t so precise. I do have a few tips I always use.
1. you neeed very little liquid for the cooking process.
2. Do not peek all the time, it lengthens the cooking process.
3. Brown the meat first for extra flavor but you do not have to do that.
4. Although the crock pots now hav e a”high” setting, I like the flavor better when cooked on low for a longer period of time.
