how do i build my own concession stand trailer?
I am working on going into busininess for myself and would like to build my own concession trailer for BBQ. So where do i start ???? Can someone give me a website, book or just tell me how to start.
Trailer specs: 8 x 24′
height must be 7 feet

Sorry to say, you must start with county health. There are some conditions which must be factored into your design. Like water, keeping the temperature of it, etc. It is more important meeting health code than the cooker itself.
Now for a trailer. Are you going to have and awning, you will need to include a fresh water tank, holding tank, pump system, generator, outlets, and a way to drain the system both fresh and gray. You will need to include sinks for doing dishes. as well as your barbecue grill.
If you want everything to run from 12 volt, a lot of camper stuff would be good. Also, plan on how large a propane tank you want, and allow room for it. Get the larger ones if you can. Also, you will need to have the tank blocked off from the rest of the trailer, or outside on the tongue. I would not put them on the back in case you get hit.
Have 2 sites for commercial trailers, leaves a lot out, but shows some interesting exteriors.
Free sites are pretty hard to find, so you may have to make your own plans. First though, you need to know what you are designing around.
Could go to state or county health and tell them what you want to do, and see if they have an inspection sheet you could get a copy of, that way you’ll know what your target is.
3rd site is for water and holding tanks that you could use, You can stand up the water tank, but the holding tank will have to be lain down.
don’t forget, you may have to go through the building department for permits for your trailer as you are starting from scratch.
When you go to put your trailer together pay attention to weight distribution, you need a solid 10 to 15% of the trailer weight on the tongue, if you don’t it will be a nightmare to tow.
Good luck on your trailer, and have fun, I have built about 5 or 6 trailers for various needs and it has been a kick on each one, and a little prideful on how well each one came out for its purpose. If you weld, it is even better, then you can start from the axle up. I always made my trailers to use the same tire and rim as the vehicle it was being towed with so you didn’t have to carry a lot of spares.
