Why are we employing folks to do this ?
Hi,
I speak of local council “planning” bods and the entourage of staff.
No, this is not strictly a whinge about bureaucracy, more of a Q about what is the point, and why am I paying towards the salaries.
As a fine example, I set to and constructed a brick-built barbeque in the back garden.
It works fine.
I then, just for a giggle, sent in a planning application for the 5ft by 3ft thing, and after much deliberation, was refused permission, as I had not submitted plans.
Too late. mateys, the thing is up and running.
I would love to see them waste more of my council tax by employing a contractor to knock it down, and would gladly invite the BBC to report it.
Oh, Central Bedfordshire District Council are the gnomes.
