how to treat rust on cooking grids of a gas grill?
rust is building up on my new grill, how do I treat it and prevent it?
Did you “season” them in the beginning?If not then clean off as much rust as you can(or are willing to) and coat them with cooking oil.Turn your oven on and heat to 250 degrees.Put the grates (grids) on a cookie sheet and let them bake for 30 mins.Repeat as necessary to coat over the rust.Then every time you grill use a “cooking spray” to keep them from rusting.
