How to tell 2 little girls to leave a dog alone? HELP!?
I live on the Gold Coast in Australia with my parents and siblings, just recently friends of my Mum and Dad moved up here, they have like 7 kids, 2 of who are around 3. We have an English Bulldog named Theo, and he’s really friendly and is great with my 2 year old brother. But when we had a barbecue one weekend their 2 daughters kept harassing Theo, like pulling his ears/tail, strangling him with his collar, and even pushed him in the pool at one point, luckily people were in there. After that day he hides under beds/desks every time there’s a knock at the door. But he’s fine with any other kids/toddlers.
I get that their only children but I want them to go easy on him. And their parents don’t help by saying “You get him girls!” and “Show that doggie who’s boss!”
How would you tell the girls that Theo doesn’t like it when they’re mean to him?
Have your parents to demand that they make their kids treat the dog with respect, or they can no longer come over.
You can also put the dog in your room and make sure the kids can’t get into your room while the people are there. Be sure and take the dog out to potty, though.
