Does anyone remember a sandwich meat that was sold in the 1960’s and 70’s called Barbecue Loaf?
Does anyone remember a sandwich meat that was sold in the 1960’s and 70’s called Barbecue Loaf? She bought it mainly at Winn Dixie Stores in Greenville, South Carolina. It was packaged like the Pickle Loaf, Ham Loaf, etc… My mom used to fix this sandwich for me and my 3 brothers by putting mayonnaise on the bread, and a slice of the barbecue loaf and putting it in the oven for a couple of minutes, until it had melted. I loved it, but can’t remember who made it, and the exact name.
