Can You Give Feedback On How To Improve My Poem? “Late Summer Evening”.?
All my work is rather amateur I admit, and I am hoping for some SERIOUS feedback on how I can improve this piece of work. Serious feedback and comments would be greatly appreciated!
Late Summer Evening.
The sun has sunk below the line of trees,
Creating stencil shapes, reshuffled by the breeze.
With dancing, dappled shadows at our feet,
The evening has effectively defeated midday heat.
Swifts sweep low from cloudless sky with skill,
To catch unwary insects as they fly at will.
Gentle winds lift scents from herbs and flowers,
Overpowering those from barbecues last hour.
Nocturnal life descends as daylight ends,
Counteracted by our modern trends -
Electric light and human friends.
