I have an air conditioner that runs fun for a while, then it starts to blow less air & the grill area freezes?
I have an air conditioner that runs great for a while. However, after some time, I notice it barely blows any cold air. When I inspect it by taking off the cover, the grill-like part in the front (behind the filter) is basically frozen. Literally, it looks like snow has covered it.
When that area melts, the AC runs good again. (Good meaning nice and chilly.). What is causing this problem???

the probem can usualy be solved by not running it on the highest setting. that can cause it to freeze up. I always set mine about 3/4 ths . hope this helps.
