couple cooking questions?
First question is how do I bring the out the full flavor out of steak with only a little supplies . Second is a George Foremon grill a good thing to use. Lastly how can you tell the different stages of a cooked steak without cutting it open and if i have to how can you tell the difference.
1) Salt and pepper. It’s all a good steak truly needs.
2) It’s not the best, but it’ll do in a pinch. Real grills are always preferred, but sometimes it’s just not practical. (Such as in apartments… like mine.)
3) Stick a knife point into it, and then hold the knife point flat against the inside of your wrist. If it’s cool, it’s rare, if it’s warm, it’s medium, if it burns you, it’s well done. Cool trick I learned while worked the grill at my restaurant.
Make sure to let your meat rest for 3-5 minutes, if you cut into it too soon, the juices will run out all over the plate and you’ll have a dry steak.
Edit: forgot to add this part.
If you have a very thick steak, the outside might burn before the inside is cooked the way you want, especially if you’re a well done kind of person. If so, grill the meat for 2-4 minutes on each side then toss it into the oven for about 5 minutes, then check the doneness as before.
