How can I splice the flexible hose, black propane supplies to a barbecue?
Thanks for the info, I'm gathering that this may not the best thing. My end goal is to extend the hose and move the gas tank on site. I have a 5-foot length of extension tubing a male and female end. I want it with the hose to come out of the current valve arrangement, however, that a copper factory, looking at both terminal ends. I had hoped it would with a thread and I could just unscrew the old bolt on the new one. Maybe I need to replace the valve assembly with one that has a threaded entrance – against Charge, but may have to do the right thing. It is a home built concrete barbecue, I was looking for a short term solution at first and bought a valve assembly, the scaling appears on what I need.
It may be cheaper to replace them, not to mention safer. But a small pipe and two hose clamps should do it.
