guinea pig help please???
My guinea pig hasnt settled in yet ive had him for about a month, he didnt havea very good start seeing as when i got him my idiot nan kept poking him and waving him around, later that day i found out we were having a bbq so all my idiot cusins wer doing the same, the poor little guy is terrified and doesnt come out of his little shelter thing untill midnight to eat and drink and even then he’s terrified, im getting rabbit soon aswell so i was wondering if he’ll ever settle in and how long will it take?
Why would you bring another animal into an involvement where they are being abused? Before bringing one more animal into that mess at least spend the time with the guinea pig so he can be happy and not scared shitless.You can do that by wrapping it in a towel and lying it on your chest while watching TV, reading a book or listening to music, guinea pigs love music. Set it in your lap while you are on the computer, my Miya loves the sound of the keyboard and purrs to it. In abut two weeks it should be bonded to you and you will no longer need the towel, however a few do get attached to their towel as Miya did so she got to keep the towel and the bed.
