Meat Smoker Designs
Smoking meat for first time. Acquired a used smoker from a friend. Lid does not ’seal’.?
The body of the smoker seems to have been a bit warped from shipping in is no longer perfectly round. The lid for the smoker does not sit so it forms a seal, smoke will get out from about 1/2″ space on either side of the now oval smoker. Is this going to be a problem? Will I be wasting time trying to smoke meat in this if the smoke is coming out or is that a design feature that I should not try to fix?
Thanks!
Ahh of course! Good ol’ tinfoil. Thanks for the idea, guys!
you want the smoke to move around so this shouldnt be a problem. My smoker is very old and is warped but i have no problems using it.
