my dog is not eating anything i mean anything? Why?

he is 8 years old and he is a mutt he was always energetic/running everywhere until my other dog (female) got in heat and we didnt want to give it to him bcus we knew another dog that is pure breed so we decided to have him do it. but my male dog has not been eating anything. i mean anything we had a bbq this weekend and he didnt even eat MEAT. i was amazed so i took him to the vet and they said he was fine thats all he has not been eating for a week by himself i have been giving him a shot idk i got it from the vet. but in the past 2 days he has been throwing up a green liquid idk what it is??? did he eat rat posion? bcus he wud leave the house once in a while
please tell me if u know what i can do he isnt eating anything and why you think he is like this?

If the vet said he was fine, please explain why the vet gave you something to inject him with?

Is he drinking?

You need to find a better vet, a dog not eating at all for a week is cause for concern.

Also you shouldn’t allow your dog to roam freely, with doing so you have no idea what he comes in contact with let alone the possibility of something happening to him.
