Natural Gas Barbeque
What size orifice do I need to convert a 36,000 BTU LP barbeque to natural gas?
I have a three-burner LP barbeque I want to convert to natural gas. It is rated 36,000 BTU, and the three orfices have stamped on them either 099 or 660. I think that probably means .099″. I’m considering drilling them out but would first like to see if I can just replace them from the local BBQ store.

Not sure on size…but I too have drilled them out just a little bigger than they are now. Don’t go too much bigger….you can always go bigger later if that wasn’t enough. If you do go too big you can use a pointed center punch or a good hard nail to ping around the hole and make it smaller.
