Adding washer/dryer to a small condo?
I’ve recently purchased a small condo and the unit doesn’t have a washer/dryer or the hookups for it.
The only two options for adding a washer/dryer are to convert a coat closet by the front door next to the kitchen, or to put it in an outdoor storage closet on the back patio.
What is really required to make a drain for the washer / vent for the dryer? Is there going to be a huge need to put a lot of holes in the outside walls? Is it possible to vent a dryer without putting a vent hole in the wall?
The vent is not the only consideration, you’ll also need to run water lines and electrical for the machines. Have a plumber come give you an estimate for doing both and an electrician do the same. That way you can choose the best least expensive option. And you may want estimates from more than one plumber and one electrician.
