Lemon-Lime soda bbq sauce recipe?
I was watching Primal Grill with Steven Raichlen on PBS and he made bbq sauce that had lemon-lime soda in it. Does anybody have the whole recipe or something similar? I went on their website and still couldn’t find it. Thanks!
Exchange most of the liquid in any BBQ sauce recipe for a can of soda. Most recipes have some vinegar, water or pickle juice in it. Use the soda instead.
That would also replace any sugar in the recipe as well as the liquid.
Most recipes of this sort are developed by someone who thought they had all the ingredients necessary and found they didn’t at the last minute. Then they got rave reviews from their family and friends and sent the recipe to a sharing community and some chef picked it up and republished it with a few ingredient changes. Only the written instructions on these can be copyrited, not the ingredients and there are finite ways to say how to put things together.
