Proper way to clean an entire propane grill?

I’m scared of damaging the burners or igniters with water from power spraying. My grill is in desperate need of a thorough cleaning (and my wife is nagging me). Anyone have a trick to getting it clean without spending an entire day taking it apart? Thanks.

You should remove the burner and tie a plastic bag over the controls and orifices…If you remove the propane cylinder, put a plastic bag over the regulator as well.

After that, use any oven cleaner or degreaser you like and you can pressure wash it without hurting anything.

Once you reassemble the appliance, run it on high heat for a while to burn off any chemical residue. Let it cool down and do it again just to be sure the grill is “clean”.
