Shealy’s Bbq

Ever been to Shealy’s BBQ (the place EVERY president since JFK has eaten at) in South Carolina?

I have eaten there before but I just wanted to know if anyone else here has. If so, how did you like it? Where are you from? How long has it been since you have been there? What is your favorite thing there? Do you live in SC now?
Jackie Hites? I went to some small BBQ and it might have been Hites… I’m not sure.
Ah yes, the rice and gravy is awesome. I like the hash too. I like the place and I dont even eat BBQ.

I grew up in Batesburg-Leesville and yes I have been to Shealy’s hundreds of times. I moved away about 15 uears ago to Lexington so I’m not far from it now. Last time I was at Shealy’s was probley 3 months ago and it’s still just as good as ever. The best southern food in the entire state of South Carolina. My favorite is the rice and gravy.
