Slow Cooker Recipe – for a simple bbq pulled pork sandwich?
I would like to make a simple recipe for the super bowl party on Sunday. Could I just put a pork shoulder into a slow cooker with jarred BBQ sauce and set to cook for 10-11 hrs??? Would this work?? Does anyone have any ideas for an easy recipe?
That is how I do it all the time.
Just put your pork roast (fatty side up) in with about 2 cups or so of water (I use more water than I usually do in the crockpot) with a pack of onion soup mix. Cook all day. Then drain the water and shred – add your favorite bbq sauce. Do not add the sauce when cooking the pork only after you shred.
