Why didn’t God choose to make women from the dust of the ground & make men from the ribs of women?
I have heard women say if it wasn’t for them giving men life they would not be here on earth & they wouldn’t exist,well I say if it wasn’t for the rib of man,women would not exist cause God took a rib out of Adam and created Eve.
Women was taken from the side, because hebrew has no word for rib, which is closest to the mans heart, just under his arm. She was not taken from his head to rule over him, nor his foot so that he would stand over her, but right in the middle making her his companion and comparable to him.
She is under his arm, so that he can hold her and show her love and to protect her and comfort her fears away. She is the closest being to his heart next to God, so that he may desire to be even closer to her and they should become one.
